Transmission and Radio Technology Museum Königs-Wusterhausen

The building of the museum, considered the cradle of radio in Germany, exhibits objects and documents from transmission and radio technology history. The first radio show in 1920 was broadcast from this very location. The history of the "Radio Operator Hill" (Funkerberg) as well as details of transmission and radio technology are on display. Among the displayed objects is the Köpenick Radio Transmitter, a 250-kilowatt medium wave transmitter as well as 1,000 HP diesel engine by Deutz. Visitors are invited to marvel at a number of machines and technical devices and enjoy a close look at a unique collection of transmitters.
