Margraviate Brickyard Museum Glindow

The Margraviate of Brandenburg was home to hundreds of brickyards and one of the oldest is located in Glindow. The author Theodor Fontane already described them during his famous walks. The exhibition is in a landmarked brickyard tower which was constructed around the year 1890. After completion of the restoration, visitors will also be able to visit an original Hoffmann ring furnace. The exhibition invites visitors to discover clay mining and the brick exhibition of the brickyard which was founded in 1462. A guided tour leads through the historical production molds and building materials.
