The Museum Viadrina is the largest cultural-historical Museum in East Brandenburg, headquartered in the "Junkerhaus", a fascinating architectural monument of significance in the region and beyond. A palace-like house was built on top of medieval cellar caves and served as electoral / royal residence. The permanent and changing exhibitions provide visitors with the opportunity of engaging with Frankfurt’s significant role during the Middle Ages, the history of the alma mater Viadrina, military history, Frankfurt's rich and famous musical history and city developments into the 20th century. The collection contains more than 100,000 objects, photos and archive records.
