Albert Einstein's "Summer Idyll" in Caputh is the only house which the famous physicist ever built. The Initiative Committee Albert-Einstein-Haus Caputh e.V. has made it its mission to maintain and preserve the intellectual legacy of the Nobel prize winner and his architect. They also organize a permanent exhibition in the community center Caputh, presenting many models, documents and photos depicting Einstein's life and work during his time in Berlin and Caputh. Furthermore, the museum tells of the career of the architect Konrad Wachsmanns as well as the colorful history of the Einstein house.
