Brecht-Weigel House Buckow
Helene Weigel and Bertolt Brecht purchased a summer residence at the Schermützelsee in Buckow in 1952. The couple was able to find some quiet, rest and time to work in the two small houses on the property. They also frequently received guests and colleagues from the theater scene. The Weigel residence opened its doors for interested visitors in 1977 and presents original objects from Brecht's stage productions. Next to it, the art house offers specific guided tours, lectures and discussion groups. During summer, the museum is used for various cultural and literary events.
